Otrivin Complete Nasal Spray is an OTC medicine indicated for the symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion (for blocked nose) and rhinorrhoea associated with the common cold. Suitable for adults above 18 years of age. How does it work? Unlike other nasal decongestant sprays, Otrivin Complete contains 2 active ingredients, Xylometazoline hydrochloride and Ipratropium bromide. -Xylometazoline unblocks your nose by reducing swelling of the mucosa. It helps sinus drainage so mucus can be drained out, easing painful sinus pressure -Ipratropium bromide acts directly on the cells producing excessive mucus to stop runniness. And finally, it helps reduce your sneezing by blocking the sneezing reflex. Directions of use: -1 spray in each nostril up to 3 times per day -At least 6 hours should elapse between 2 consecutive doses -Do not exceed 3 applications daily into each nostril -Only one person should use each pack How to use: 1)Clear your nose. 2)Lean forward slightly and insert the nozzle into a nostril. 3)Spray and breathe in gently through the nose at the same time. 4)Repeat for the other nostril. Precautions: -You should not use Otrivin Complete Nasal Spray for more than 7 days. -It should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless your doctor recommends it. -You should also consult your doctor before using the spray if you have any medical problems. -Keep out of reach of children. -Do not use after the expiry date stated on the bottle. -Always read the patient information leaflet.
